Jean-Marc “Tolkraft” Choserot
Tolkraft is in his forties and has been immersed in Fantasy through books and games for the past 30 years. He took up role-playing late in life, around 2014.
In 2015, he submitted his very first text for the Utopiales convention scenario competition and finished first! He took part the following years, winning again in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Since 2023, he has been a member of the jury for the same competition.
In 2018, he also participated to the French writing competition called the “Three Forged Challenge”. Here, authors need to write short games that can be played straight away. He won the Challenge that year, again in 2020, placed second in 2021 and is regularly among the finalists, as he continues to take part with great pleasure to the contest.
Mid-2023, he was contacted by a publisher interested in his work and became part-time self-employed to work evenings and weekends on RPGs.
His first game (“Lost at Sea”) was published in French in February 2024, and over the past year he has worked (consulting, adapting, proofreading, layouting...) on a dozen other published projects, for both French and foreign clients.
In his spare time, he is developing Hardy, a Med-Fan game system designed to be simple, with the emphasis on verisimilitude - a slower, more realistic game pace, and an emergent universe; as well as a Fantasy scenario, “Unicorn of Plenty,” that will be released in 2025.
